The Texas Lions Clubs maintain a summer camp for children with handicaps in Kerrville, Texas.   All the Lions Clubs of Texas support this camp and disabled children of Texas are able to enjoy one or two weeks of summer camp at no charge.  El Paso sent 42 children to this camp in 2004.
The consistent report received from Camp participants is the kids are amazed what they can actually do when put in this environment.  While they may be hesitant to leave home, they always want to stay longer.
The Lions Clubs of Texas welcome charitable contributions to assist in supporting this camp and other Lions service activities.
Parents of disabled children are welcome to contact the Lions regarding the rules for participation of their children ages 7 to 16. (Diabetic children ages 8 to 15).
Alexa Marquez gave us this report at the August 13, 2005 Lions Club meeting:
Thank you for the nice report Alexa!
